MR.PRADIP B.PARKHI JOYS OF READING Reading gives our mind a great intellectual fillip. It Expands our intellectual horizon. It also nurtures our emotional self. It tells us what to, when to, how to in this competitive world. Therefore, a person who cultivates a good reading habit no longer remains the same. But evolves herself into a human being better-equipped to deal with the challenges of life than a person who doesn't read. Advocates of hands on practical experiences will challenge this. But they must bear in mind that to get practical experiences in life one has to confront time and place constraint. But there are no such constraints for readers as they can go to any minds and apply the same in their life for their own betterment and the society they live in. Therefore, reading opens our mind, eyes and ears to world of the past, present and the future. And not to forget reading is a powerful booster dose to our brain as it's to remain active and analytical all through reading unlike when we're watching where our mind remains passive and all the thinking and action is carried out on our behalf by the character playing a role.
